Default recieved "lucky sucker" tins for softail.

converting my slightly beat up 89 heritage softail into a bobber, it fell over while being unloaded which dented the tank and the ramp failed for my pickup truck which ended up crinkling the front fender another time.. I ordered the custom chrome "lucky sucker kit"...some of it anyway as the rear fender was on back order again. I did instead buy a rear fender in custom chrome catalogue called "two-ton ho" and costed less and looks as good. received the "two-ton ho" rear fender, "lucky sucker" fender struts, gas tank and tank adapter. also got a "hard body" springer front end.

waiting on the snow to fly to start making changes.

Hi there!
How is your work doing wiht the bike? Did you get the parts (tank/adapter) to fit on the frame?
I was thinking of getting this kit to my Heritage -98. But I´m not sure cuz it says that it´s for Twin Cam 2000 and above.

I never did get to start on this conversion yet due to moving out of province and just being tired also not having proper work area. its kind of complicated...but I'm sure with a little manipulating i'll get those parts to fit my 89. i'll update when I get started which may not be til spring.

fenders off. rear fender had signal/brake lights attached so I unhooked the wiring clip under the seat to make this part easy. pretty straight foreward unbolting.

drained the fuel and took off the dash cover than unmounted the tanks.

cut off the frame horns using a cutting disc.

this was just to see what it'd kinda look like. So it's like I thought, where I'd have to add some mounts or do a bit of cutting/ trimming on the tank mount from the slightly different frame. No biggie.

now i'm stuck on the ignition wires. I got extra wires since I'm not using the dash lights. Any ideas? Ignition relocation help needed lol.

This is a good build thread! Post it over in the Evo section, please. You'll get a lot of help from peeps that are good with wiring.
