Default oil line replacement

I have a leak in the oil line from tank to motor on 2012 flstc. Is this difficult to replace or should I take to dealer. Bike under warranty but not sure if this is covered since it is a rubber hose. All info appreciated and thanks.

Hi from the UK and welcome to HDF.

I'd ask the dealer first! If they say it isn't covered ask what it would cost for them to replace it. You can find the cost of the part on any of the on-line parts websites, like this one.

I haven't owned that model, so can't comment on how easy it might be to replace yourself. If you decide to do it then get yourself a factory service manual first! They ain't cheap, but you will get the cost of it back on this job alone.

Welcome to the Forum from Colorado!
The line replacement is actually very easy. But as gr said find out if it's under warranty. And get the manual. Not the Clymer unit, either.

Default thanks

it is actually the hose to drain the oil tank and it is not covered by warranty. The dealer estimates $250.00 to replace, think I will let them, looks like to much to remove to get to for me and prefer their clamps to screw type.
