Default half helmet issues

Didn't know where else to put this

but I did my first long trip with a half helmet today about 300 miles

couple things I learned
1. When behind traffic, I notice my sunglasses keep wanting to blow off, or at the very least appear to

2. The helmet tends to slide backwards. Tightening doesn't seem to help

any tips on fixing these things? I'm more worried about my glasses than anything else. They are prescription oakleys.

in fact for the return him rip. I'm buying a cheap pair from Walmart incase I lose them

any other ideas or tips?

Wrap a folded bandana around your head and glasses then put the helmet on. Kills two birds with one stone. Try posting general questions like this in the general chat forum next time, more peeps are on there.

Your helmet is too big if it is sliding back on your head when it catches wind. As stated above a bandanna will take care of the extra space and help keep your glasses on....

1. Remove the visor, if you haven't already.

2. Buy a Bell Pit Boss half helmet. It has an adjustable strap in the back that helps hold the helmet to your head.

3. Buy a set of goggles.

^^^double that one^^^
That stupid visor is just a sail. Especially with no windshield
Get a spandex strap to put on the ends of you glasses to hold them on your head.

Def echo the bandana trick. Also absorbs all the sweat. Wiley X SG1s are good for riding in my opinion. They also do prescription.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I purchased a pair of Wiley X perscription safety glasses with the transition lenses. They work perfect!!! Not really that bad priced for what you get. With the transitions lenses I don't have to be switching glasses all the time in low light or night time riding. Plus the safety glass option makes sure a rock or something doesn't shatter the glass in your eye.

I agree that the half-helmet needs to be correctly sized - if too large you will have it blow back, Trying a skull wrap to help hold it in place would be my first - if not the Bell Pit Boss works great.

I used to wear a 1/2 helmet and I also have to wear prescription glasses. The one thing that I did to stop the sensation of my helmet wanting to slide backwards was to tip my head slightly forward into the wind and that stopped the slipping all together, just an idea that worked for me.

Lol at speed my old single-strap beanie tries to crawl FORWARD down my face. Most times Ray-Ban Wayfarers stop it. But there have been times it slid far enough to block my vision.
