I recently bought a used 2012 Fat Bob. I'm concerned that it could have the original battery in it. I keep it on a trickle charge but sometimes I feel that the battery is weak. Is there a way to get the battery checked?

 

Take it to an auto parts store and have them load test it.

 

It's an AGM battery probably so make sure the tester knows that. They test a little bit differently. Yours is 5 years old and getting close. My original went 6 years, the replacement didn't last 2 years. It's frustrating sometimes.

 

Buy a new battery and don't fret over it.
