Default Battery terminal melted

Curious to know if it's possible to replace the terminals instead of buying a new battery. Battery is only 2 months old.

Every battery I've seen/used has posts molded in battery casing so I'm going to say it's a no. What melted the post...was it faulty battery, or self-inflicted wound?

Damn man, I'd probably replace the cables too. That kind of heat can travel down the cable and damage a lot.

The terminal is on the cable, not the battery.

I agree. Replace the cable that overheated. The terminal end is I'm sure damaged under the insulation. It will be a high resistance now and cause charging problems.
