Default New Owner Concerns

Hello everyone. I've finally made the jump and purchased my first Harley. It's a 2015 FatBob with 12,000 miles. I'm trying to learn about how things should sound so that I can have sharp ear to any potential problems in the future. I have a slight concern about a noise from my primary and I wanted to see if this should be considered normal, or if it is time to upgrade the tensioner. I plan on replacing the tensioner in the future but I wanted to make sure I am not damaging anything by riding it currently. I am pretty green to all of this so please let me know what you think.
THANKS!!!

consider buying a notebook and record everything you do....maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. plus buy the service manual and the parts manual. two of the best tools you'll invest in....

Thanks for the input. I received the manual yesterday and I plan on keeping records.

Would you you consider this noise normal for a harley or something that should concern me?

Sounds like a bit of whine.

A primary tensioner would exhibit some slop/lag in take off if it needed adjustment. If it was too tight could be a problem too. Very easy to check and adjust.

Echo the service manual.

These are primal beasts so there are many sounds to come that might sound off but are part of the deal.

That bike is barely broken in. Put 1000 miles on it then you'll know what's normal.

Thanks for the input everyone. Here is another video while I was riding. The sound is a little more noticeable after the bike is warmed up. I have a Hayden chain tensioner on the way. Hopefully that will quiet it down some.

If in doubt run it down to the shop and have them take a look at it. If its good now you know the sound of the bike. If not they can get it fixed before anything goes bad. I do a fair amount of my own work ,but I'm willing to ask a mechanic for help if I'm unsure.

As stated by JesseDyna, primary chain tensioner can make some noises if not properly adjusted. But after listening to your video. Nothing sounds out of the ordinary to my humble ear. Just ride it, and enjoy
