Scooper321; FXR's are hard to find because it's the most highly sought after HD today. And their not cheap. I was an event couple weeks back called FXR's of California, I saw a couple bikes for sale going for as much as $20k. So, if you do it right you can build a bike someone will always want and will be willing to pay big money for it.

 

That's what I've been figuring out. I'm not looking to restore and flip a bike. This is just intended to be a fun project to learn a lot and create something neat. I don't have any plan to do anything with it other than ride it. So if I can't find an FXR I'll probably work on an FX. All of the FXR's I'm finding are already "done". The FXEF and FXWG have both caught my eye - and I don't want to deal with a kick start yet. So we will see.
