Default solenoid plunger kit installation

So how do you install new pins in plungers rod - I'm disabled and want to know easiest way to push pins in - is there a special tool or what ? Thanks

Sorry about that - I'm not sure what each part is called - I got the old plunger out but the new one has 3 slotted pins (?) that have to be put in and I got one in but the other 2 have to be pushed in with plunger in place and I can't seen to do it in such a small area where plunger is located

mr. dan i think he is referring to the expansion pins. if he can lay the shaft on a vise with a small crack to allow the pin room, he could drift them in.
if in doubt, post a jpeg so others can see the issue, we sometimes call the same thing diff depending upon where we live or taught.,

Are you trying to rebuild a starter solenoid? I'd love to help but could you please tell us what you are trying to do?

Maybe yes, maybe no. But one thing I have noticed here and on the Corvette Forum both owned by IB - a recent tremendous increase in 1 post wonders or posts that seem to be there only to generate clicks.

I hope he was real and figured it out.

so sorry I didn't respond back - had a brother stop by and we got a roll pin punch set and with alot of patience we got all 3 roll pins in place - next time I will set 2 in before installing plunger kit - thanks everyone for your help
