Spark plug change...few questions

So I swapped out my spark plugs because I just bought the bike and its got a little over 17k on it. My first question is, one of the boots on the spark plug wires feels like it kind of snaps into place and takes a little effort to pull off again, where as the other boot comes right off. I took a picture inside so you can see what im talking about...the little metal collar in the "bad" boot looks more recessed/smaller. Not sure how bad this is and if i should get it replaced? The bike still started but now im concerned that it could just pop out during a ride.

On another note, just curious how my old spark plugs looked, one was a little whiter than the other, but in looking and comparing to pictures online, they look pretty good to me.

Thank you in advance for any tips or advice.

Obviously the threaded tip came off one plug and is stuck in the boot. Look at your pics.

From looking at your pics it appears the Terminal is stuck in the cap. Thread the plug into the cap and pull, should remove the Terminal from the cap. Before installing new plugs make sure the caps are secure.

Yep, the pic says it all...tip is missing and can be seen in the boot

Ahh yes, i do see female threads when i shine a light in there, tried threading the old plug back in there but it wont grab...any other methods for getting it out or should i just replace?

Threads probably got stripped. Try running a thread tap, of the proper size into it.

If you have a set of easy outs you could try that, or try to poke it with something and pull it out.

Take a pair of small needle nose pliers and stick them inside the piece and then open them to put pressure on the piece as you pull out. You may be able to grab the edge with the pliers as well, but be careful to not deform the metal inside the wire that snaps onto the plugs themselves.

Thread a course thread screw into terminal and see if it will grab it or needle nose pliers might grab it. Keep on sucking till yah do succeed.
