We have a separate oil section where you will find fans of every brand of oil on the planet, so that may create more confusion than help! Your local dealer can supply H-D primary oil, which works just fine for me.
I like to use the same brand in all three. I use Amsoil personally but most major brands are good. I also use a lube specific for each hole. What ever you settle on use it every time.

I thought there was a oil section but I can't seem to find it.
Well done, but do take care - a chap could get stuck in there for eternity, debating oils, so don't get in too deep! And don't believe everything you read either.....
Harley's Formula +. Straight weight 50W non-detergent gear oil. Like the transmission, no filter, so that is why you do not want a detergent engine oil in there and transmission.
Google what the detergent additive in oil is for.

Doesn't detergent oil keep all the crap in suspension, where as non-detergent lets it settle to the bottom of the sump when it stops moving around?
