Default help with chrome cleaning

Just bought Dads Road King. His HD rain gear melted onto the pipe chrome and left a 'stain'. Anyone have experience with this and how to get this residue off?

Get a Mother's powerball, a container of chrome polish, and variable speed drill and get busy!

Default Chrome cleaning

I like to use #0000 steel wool (available at most hardware stores) -put some mild soap on and get scrubbing! Great for bug juice too! Doesnt scratch chrome.

Gentlemen, I think I found the holy grail of chrome cleaner/polish. Put it on a foam cone from wal mart ($22) and had at it. It quickly removed the melted and burned on nylon/rubber from the rain gear and polished the chrome beautifully. The foam cone and compound did all the work, I just sat there and worked the cordless drill around. I'll start another thread as there is another product I was referred to that worked beyond expectations. Ordered the Quick-Glo from Amazon.

I've used this when the grandkids got their shoes against the pipes. Works well.

It does! Got my ex wife's skin and high heel residue off the drag pipes back in the day when she didn't listen and wore shorts and no panties on a ride. She has a scar and I got a new wife
