The idea behind the whistle is to get there attention. Over a million miles in a semi + road time in a cage & bike I've hit dear dogs coyotes and 1 cow. But never with whistles installed .. So they've worked for me .
As the title of this thread says... Do deer whistles really work?
Yay or Nay?
Please tell me why you believe they do or don’t? What are your experiences with them?
There was a thread on this awhile back, and the consensus was that for the most part they don`t work.

Your best defense would be to drive slow enough to stop in time, if that`s possible.
