Default Can I stage 3/4 the bike without making it loud as hell?

I have a RockerC which I love and am keeping but it's stage 1 tuned with V+H short shots and isn't practical for days when I have to leave for work at 5a.m. or arrive home at 3-4 a.m. so I'm buying a Fatbob to join her in the garage. The Fatbob'll be my daily ride (I've always only been a biker and I don't drive a car). The thing is that, because it'll be the bike I use most I'd like to stage it up to a 3/4 but I'm wondering if it's possible to do so without having super-loud pipes which'd wake my neighbours at all hours of the night?
Any advice would be awesome.

Supertrapp 2-1. Makes great power for stock size motors and you can adjust the level of sound from almost stock to louder than you want.

You'd be surprised what the stock exhaust will flow for HP.

Hell, even just gutting the CAT out will loosen up some flow without adding noise.

Thumbs up

Ayden, hello old chap, from a couple of counties away! A basic problem with aftermarket exhausts is that many of them subscribe to the "loud exhausts save lives" mantra, not something I for one believe in. There are indeed options available out there, as mentioned above, indeed I have a SuperTrapp Supermeg and it really is a great system. Gives a wonderful torque curve and decent subdued sound, the unexpected bonus being it also made my bike remarkably smooth running. So if you want an instant recommendation, that is mine. I have an S&S 107" Evo engine, giving over 100/100 - it's great!

I'll think you'll only be able to stage it to a 21/32nds and still keep it quiet

You, Sir, are a gentleman! My Rocker C IS fun and I'll keep her loud but I'll definitely take your advice when changing out pipes on my 'daily ride' Fatbob. Thanks again.

Easy man, anything can be accomplished. Don't you ever get rid of that Rocker C, unless it is to get another one.

No chance of me EVER getting rid of the Rocker C - I love that bike. The reason I'm gonna buy a Fatbob is because I want to keep the Rocker as close to mint as I can so I need a bike that I don't care about so much that I can ride every day in all weather. I'll keep the Rocker for sunny days only.

I loved my 2008 so much, that I sold it and bought the final year a 2011, and modified it to suit me. It is most assuredly a forever bike.
