When you say "Roadie", I'm not sure if you are referencing a Road King, or a Road Glide, but in either case, because of the configuration of the switch packs, there is no room behind the switch blank(s) to install a momentary switch.

I did the same as it shows in the video. I put the switch on the left side of the chrome piece on my tank next to the odometer switch. It has worked great for the last 2 years.

I bought the HD opener about 10-11 years ago, Moved from Sporty to Street Glide with no problems. Yeah, it was expensive, but then I did not have to do any heavy mods to either bike or opener. But now I feel it is bought and paid for, and I have not had any issues with it on either bike. But..... I would probably do some mods on one of our extra openers if I had to do this again.
