Default Stripped screw!

Hello! Im working on putting the reduced reach kit on to my bike. But unfortunately I stripped one of the screws in the frame down. So, is there any good ways to get this m-f out of there? Typically it's the last screw that gave me headache lol.

This is the set that I use for a situation like that.

That's an easy one, just drill it out and use an easy out. Also called bolt/screw extractors. Let us know how you make out, Good luck

Use a drill bit to "remove" the head of the bolt ... Might be able to remove the remaining protruding bolt with a pair of vice grips ... If not continue with drill and screw extractor ... There are many types ... I prefer this set / type

Similar models available through places like Harbor Freight for economy buyer

You can also use a dremel cut-off-wheel to create a slot and use a flat head screwdriver.

While Uncle Larry has the only easy out that worth a damn, it's my bet that you can drill through the head, pop it off and grab the remaining part with a pair of vice grips. If it don't want to move, add a little heat.

Drill the head off and vise grips, heat the end with a pencil torch first to soften the loctite. As you've seen lots of choices on easy outs, I've got most all types but these are my goto's 90% of the time ,

Amazon Amazon

Real hard to break one of these for the beginner mechanic compared to the long versions

If you still haven't bought extractor/easy out yet , make sure your using the proper size bit & it's a good idea to buy a left handed bit set , A couple of times I've had broken bolts back rite ought
