Default Battery purchase time of the yesr

Well, it's time to invest in a new battery for my 2009 heritage Softail classic. So many out there to choose from. I don't think I'm ready to take the lithium plunge or Odyssey yet. Both these styles of batteries require another purchase of special chargers. I'm leaning towards a Yuasa or maybe an Interstate.

Thoughts and opinions welcome please!

Thanks....

you cannot beat the OEM, BUT, you can get one from the same mfg.
DEKA makes the HD battery and you can get it way less cost. the last one i got was around 80 bucks and the hd was around 150.

Had a chance to get my hands on that new lithium at the dealer last weekend. WOW. It's half the size and weighs just a bit more than my phone. It has to come with an adapter to hold it because of the size. Now I don't know about $300 for a battery though. Although the new tender will do the new and old batteries.

But yeah like bustert said if you like the OEM you can get it from the mfg.

Pulled up the site. Three batteries listed for my 2017 Ultra Limited Low. Any idea which one is identical to the HD battery?

you have to take a look at yours and see which way you need the terminals as you can get them in several config's.
for the price of a lithium, i can go nearly 20 years on the agm saying i have to replace every 5+ years. cost isn't my only concern, a run away battery isn't nice to say the least!

I really haven't found a lot of good things about the lithium batteries other than weight. Has anyone got any good reasons other than weight to switch over?

You can beat the stock HD / Deka battery. Yuasa battery gyz20hl. They are a little bit better and can be had for under $100.

That's what I'm hearing also. I might give the Yuasa a shot.
