Dyno tuning a 2020 FHSTC 114 ci
I have a 2020 FHSTC 114 ci. Added Rinehart mufflers, Feuling 465 cam, V & H Fp3 tuner. Stock pipes. Wanting to get it Dyno Tuned and the local shop is telling me that they cannot. Thoughts?
"The stock headers still being in place will prevent us from being able to perform proper individual cylinder tuning, as we can't get a sniffer up the exhaust and past the catalyst material. The stock headers will also negate almost all of the performance benefit of the cam. We would HIGHLY recommend installing a proper set of headers with a crossover before tuning the bike (or riding it much more, for that matter). "

In simple terms, their equipment cannot get an accurate tailpipe AFR measurement because of the catalytic converter and they are refusing to tune it based on that issue. It's really the only way to get an accurate measurement, but it could be tuned off of O2 sensor readings alone. They do not want to do that, apparently.
