Handlebar upgrade

I'm looking to swap out my factory bars to an aftermarket meat hook style bar. Not into tall ape hangers so have my eye on a 10-12 inch pre wired set. Any tips or suggestions before I tackle this adventure? I'm tech/ mechanically inclined but have only owned my 2014 street glide less than a year so not sure how difficult this is. Also thinking I'd swap speakers during this process as mine are tweet monsters that fart with any bass at higher volume. Thanks for any assistance folks!

Went with 14” Fat Bagger Inc. meat hook type bars on my 21’ SG last summer and really like them. They to were pre wired. Quality seems outstanding. I did not do the installation. I can use my oem fairing mounted mirrors just fine. Be prepared to install bar mounted mirrors if you go with a 10” -12” bar. Won’t probably know until you have them on the bike. Good luck!

I have a 14sgs and I'm 5'10 with a 30 in inseam and I went with the 10's, I wish I went with the 12s, if you go with the 12s you will probably have to replace the clutch hydraulic line, mine fit with the 10s but it is close. Also, watch the TPS plug when pulling that wire thru the meathook's, it will not go around the bend, I broke the plug and had to replace the plug. I don't remember of the front brake line could be rerouted.

As stated above, you will need to install bar mounted mirrors.
