Anybody powdercoat an exhaust?

Default Anybody powdercoat an exhaust?

I have a Vance and Hines Pro pipe and I want it black but I really dont just wanna spray can it... Anybody ever powdercoated one?

did my short shots few years back (right before they started offerin them in back, but that's a whole different story...) holds up well to the heat and i've hit them with stuff a few times and do ok. just make sure you prep them and get them good and clean before pc.

+1 - 1967
I just had my 2-1 exhaust painted with ceramic. Looks great but don't know about durability yet. I sprayed mine before the ceramic job, with 2,000 degree header paint and sanded the chrome pipes before spraying 3 layers and baking between layers. Had some minor flaking but I just spray a little touch-up before I would ride. It worked and looked OK.
