Vibration at 2200 RPM's

I have a '98 Fat Boy (pictures coming soon) with a rigid mounted motor. It has a normal vibration of course, but it has started to vibrate twice as hard lately. It doesn't vibrate twice as hard unless the engine is running around 2200 RPMs. As I accellerate up to, and beyond 2200 RPM's it seems ok, but when I hit the 2200 RPM mark it vibrates a lot harder. Nothing has changed on the bike. It wasn't in an accident or anything like that. As far as I can tell, the engine doesn't appear to be loose at all. I'm not sure if it's a mounting bracket or something else. It doesn't matter if it's in gear going down the road, or in neutral at a stand still.

Anyone have any ideas as to what to check aside from motor mounts? This is my first bike, bought it last August. I plan on bringing it to the local shop, but thought I'd ask here for input as well. Any tips or reccomendations would be great!

Look for a cracked top mtr mount.

Has the motor been hot Rodded????

Maybe dropping 2 gears at WOT and dumping the clutch?

If it's not a Motor Mnt., then you might have a set of flywheels out of balance/true.....

Check ALL of the mounting points for loose hardware, Center mount, 2 top mounts at bridge, bolts at frame......

If and only if those check out good, then open up your primary inspection cover, and remove your spark plugs.....

Have a buddy spin the rear wheel forward (5th Gear), and feel the primary chain.... Is it slack all through the rotation, or does it tension up to rock hard and go too slack?????

If it does, your flywheels are out of true.....
