I keep praying to the weather gods to let us have a rain free weekend

 

Not counting significant others I am guessing right around 15 at this point

 

Well, we are officially gonna be taking the ferry from Muskegon to Milwaukee. We called Lake Express and they are letting bikes ride free and the 8am departure we wanted was booked full for bikes and the 10:15am was just about full so we ordered our tickets for the 10:15.

 

sounds good Matt. what are your plans for the return route?

 

After the ride Saturday when everyone splits off we are gonna get as far as we can back east and try to avoid Chicago as much as possible by heading south of it before we find a motel to stay the night before the final push home Sunday.

my bags n lids are done at paint. should be out for couple test rides this weekend

 

Heads up for our trip. The Mississippi is getting a bit into flood stage in a few areas. Will not affect our time in Savanna but we will have to closely monitor and potentially alter the planned ride Saturday, depending on the flood stage. At this time I believe we should be fine but will need to monitor and plan ahead a alternate in case any of these areas are affecting the roads close to the river we plan to travel. I am fairly sure we will be all good but will have a alternate in mind just in case.

Anyone else eye ballin the weather as we get closer?

 

Savanna will be fine. Just will have to monitor forecast and see how things look. Light rain I am still good. Big storms will be a reschedule. As of now things look good. Only suggestion is bring jackets for Saturday morning but should warm up fast. Hard to predict till the week of.

 

I'm worried that Matt won't be able to fit a can of soda in his bags, let alone a jacket for Saturday morning after all the speakers and amps he's got jammed in there. #firstworldproblems
