Default Milwaukee next summer lodging??

I need some help brothers. I'm hoping to have a new bike next season.. My bike was totaled when I was rear ended by a Ram pickup truck while I was sitting at a stop light.... Broke my back in 3 places and completely ripped my rotator cuff tendon off my scapula muscle.. I haven't worked for a year and because of healing from a bunch of surgeries and litigation, I have not been on a bike since.. A bunch of us from Michigan are going to come out next year for HD 115 year anniversary.. I'm looking for a decent hotel 15 to 20 miles out of downtown Milwaukee. I'm looking for real recommendations for at least safe that's off the beaten path.... Any help is greatly appreciated

There are a lot of places in the radius to stay. New Berlin wi has a few hotels right off the freeway and is no more then 20 miles from downtown. Oak Creek wi is even closer with some places to stay. We have said at the holiday inn in new Berlin a few times for New Year's Eve.

Forty Winks Motel in Wauwatosa is in an excellent neighborhood. I stayed there on my honeymoon in 1981. They don’t have water beds anymore , but they still get good reviews.
Forty Winks Inn
11017 W Bluemound Rd, Milwaukee, WI 53226

My first night we stayed here.
Whitnall View Motel
6991 S Lovers Lane Rd, Franklin, WI 53132

I doubt they still have the vibrating beds for a quarter. But they get good reviews too.

A lot of hotels on the outskirts of Milwaukee... Do a bit of googling to come up with something in the mileage range, price range & type of hotel you might like. But then if someone can offer suggestions for you to check out, that works as well. Enjoy the trip & be safe!!

I went to the 105th. I stayed in Lake Geneva, a nice town outside of Milwaukee. I stayed at the Best Western but that was 10 years ago. I checked and they renamed it since then.

Try Port Washington. An easy 1/2 hour north from the Museum. About 10,000 population right on Lake Michigan. Stay right downtown at the Holiday Inn.

Lot of place to stay on West side of Milwaukee along 94. But you better now ASAP.
Discount but ok places are over by airport. Stay away from motel 6, Motel 8. And the DaysInn on College Ave. the others in that area are not bad to out standing.
As mentioned Oconomowoc : Is a quick easy ride in
The Olympia Resort & Conference
Address: 1350 Royale Mile Rd, Oconomowoc, WI 53066
