Default Loud pipes in Michigan

I was just wondering if any of you guys have been ticketed for loud pipes here in Michigan . My Heritage has the stock pipes with screamin eagle mufflers , and big city thunder / thunder monster baffles. it's pretty loud , but i've never been stopped... yet.

I run Rinehart true D's High Pro pipes and have never been stopped and I commute in metro detroit area daily.
&nbsp\\;
I have set alarms off just starting up or cracking the pipes before.
&nbsp\\;
but no issues to date with citations

Have not heard of anyone getting written. I travel in central Oakland County, and 'occasionally' have set off car alarms.

Yeah, isn't it fun!&nbsp\\; I went by a little old lady just the other day and as she was approaching her car from the sidewalk I drove by and her car alarm went off.&nbsp\\; Over the loudness of my pipes I still heard her yelling (I think at me).

I haven't heard of anyone getting ticketed, but would like to see it happen. Lots of people do not like loud pipes, and your right to make noise ends at another persons ears. Personally, loud pipes don't bother me unless someone just keeps reving up to be obnoxiously loud. However, Mr. John D. Public may hate your loud pipes, and I am afraid this may someday effect our right to ride. You know how ugly some laws can be.

I've ridden with guys who should be ticketed. Forget freedom, how about freedom from roaring pipes while I'm out trying to enjoy the ride.

If Michigan passed a law that was enforced equally across all vehicles, and used sound meters instead of cops guessing or citizens filing complaints, I'd be happy.
