RE: Rendezvous on the river....
Just my opinion,
Save your money and go for a long ride. I gave up on the rallys when they all became drunken motorhome festivals.
just cant stand listening to generators run all night on the quarter million dollar motor homes while I try and sleep in my tent.
Dealing with all the drunks, and wannabee bikers just trys my patience too much anymore.
Anyways just my 2 cents for all its worth.
Glen

RE: Rendezvous on the river....
We have a pretty good size group taking off this morning for Ionia.
We had it planned for a while and we were planning on attending - Until we checked out the admission pricing.
$55 pre buy for HOG members. $75 at the gate. Unreal - we will not be going in!
I called them and they said the price of admission is all inclusive for the entire weekend. I guess that would be great if I was able to attend the entire weekend. Our schedules does not permit it.
We were really looking forward to visiting the vendor booths and picking up some stuff. Guess that won't happen!
I will be interested in how all this works out. I really think they needed to add a reasonable day pass admission.

A day pass was offered by the local HOG chapters for a cost of 35.00 Still too high if you ask me, but then I don't want to see the bands in the evening, and I suppose controlling that might be a problem for them. Oh well...I didn't go, and had no intention of going.

Take a ride up to West Branch this weekend. There are still doing a get together only it's open to all bikes and is cheaper.
I'll probably go up for the parade thru town on Sat. and watch the bikes roll down main street, I did that last year then rode back home. Makes for a nice day of riding.
