all dealerships handle warranty work a little different, but always safe to have the 1000 mile done at the dealer just to cover yourself. after that do everything yourself if you are able

harley would be HAPPY to sell you a service manual for about 60.00 or go on EBay and see if anyone has that year on disc yet. If you arent familiar with Harley spend the 60, its well worth it
