Tie down points for Road King/Bagger
I’m installing a wheel chock and tie down hooks on my friend’s trailer for him. We both have RK classic’s so I can use my bike to determine tie down locations. He bought a Lock N’ Load removable wheel chock and their rear tie downs. It comes with a strap that goes over the front tire and they advertise one benefit being that the forks don’t need to be compressed (no handle bar tie downs).
Anyways, I have never trailered with a wheel chock, so I’ve always tied down the handle bars. My questions are 1) with a wheel chock, do the handle bars still need tie downs? 2) Where is the best place to attach the rear tie downs? Right now I can see going to the bottom of the rear crash bars or going across the seat to the top of bar. Friend has a detachable sissy bar if that’s an option.
BTW, I tried to tell him he has an RKC and doesn't need a trailer, but he has his reasons.

i made a wood platform with a piece of carpet on top that just barely slides under the frame of my street glide then i crisscrossed 2 straps up front around the frame where the engine guard attaches...one strap through the rear tire and good to go. the platform is nice because you only compress the forks an inch or so and its as solid as can be...didnt ride all the way down to florida because it was a family vacation that involved me and my dad riding all day and mom and 3yr old brother hanging at the pool haha
