Teardrop Trailer?

Thinking of building one of these to tow behind my FLH; anybody tow a mini-teardrop?

Even the small tear drop trailers seem relatively heavy (weight empty) compared to some of the other options out there.

The design in my photos is known as a "Pico-Light"; it supposedly weighs 280lbs when completed. I'm not sure if this is "heavy" in the scheme of things. I don't know what other trailers are weighing-in at.

I've read about the "Pico-Light", but I've never seen one. I'd consider the 280 lbs light for any type of camper that is being pulled by a motorcycle. Most of the tent based pop-up campers are around 210 lbs to 385 lbs.

Timeout Slipstream Camper: 210 lbs
Kompact Kamp Mini Mate: 265 lbs
Aspen Classic: 350 lbs
Roll-A-Home Wide Bed: 385 lbs

The Teardrops I'm familiar with are:

Go Little Guy Rascal (I don't think this is made anymore): 490 lbs

Idaho Bedroll: 150 lbs

I know this is an older thread but I happen to come across an interesting website that sells plans to build your own teardrop camper. You can even purchase a kit that contains all the parts.
