Joy of a sidecar

Joy of a sidecar
Sidecar is not cheap or easy. But they have their pay back. Wife instructed me to acquire another bike with a sidecar after seeing a nice setup some people had for a handicapped child. We have a grand daughter that can not walk. I had the FB and wondered if I could just hang one on it.
HD dealer I like has a lot of experience with things like this so I ask them . Then gave me an affordable route to get a sidecar that would meet my needs. I then ask them to hang it on. Time was running short for a major event in her life to ride in. They did great and did right by us.
She has had a great time with it. As we have had with her riding in it. She is now 8 years old. She spent last weekend with us. Talk around the house was winter will soon be over and wife and I will get the RGU out and gone. Monday morning I woke her for school. She looked right at me and said Grandpa we are riding. I told her it was a damp 40 degrees out. She said we are riding. So we did.
Blanket stuff in sidecar, her 3/4 HD helmet and face shield. and off we went 25 miles to school. The joy of the ride she has is priceless.
Still waking up a bit
Stop to tuck the blanket back in. Thumbs up works even with mittens on.

At 9 years old now Payton has about 2,500 miles in her side car. I retired in November so she has even more chance to ride. Growing a lot so the full windshield is on it now for her.
The sidecar has also become away to expose other children to riding. Anytime there is an event where others are out here the children line up for rides in it. Couple of her friends at school have got permission from parents to give it a try.
