Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing inherently "dangerous" about the setup you have now.

I have to agree with you ... I have ridden foot clutch - hand shift bikes though it has been several years ... and I am doing this on a trike not a solo bike ... actually the Servi-cars did not have a rocker, only a single pedal for the clutch ... similar to what I now have, or will have once I'm done

Made a new bracket from 1/4 inch aluminum ... it worked a lot better ... then added a support rod to the bottom of the engine guard

P Clamp and support road added to bottom of engine guard made the aluminum bracket a lot stiffer

Went for a test ride and only made it about 3 blocks before the bolt in the head holding the shifter bracket became loose ... back at home I changed the bolt for a hex head with a lock washer and some lock-tite.

Made a 6 mile test ride and all seems to be good ... shifts good and clutch functions good ... I need to learn the sweet spot for the clutch, for now people would think I'm a rookie ... a few times I either kill the engine by letting off the clutch to quickly, or I'm revving the engine before the clutch actually starts to grab ... I expect it to take a few rides to get the hang of it.

So far I'm very pleased with the conversion ... if I decide to change it back to stock I can do so very easy ... but for now it's a Tank Shift with a Foot Clutch
