Cool Trike

Thanks to all. What a warm welcome! I just sold a V- Rod muscle I had. It was my around town/ hot rod bike. I wasn't ready to give up my 03 FLHTC. She was my baby. My Daughter and I saw a lot of trips with her. Then after my Daughter got her own bike it carried the gear and me on many rides together. I considered turning it into a trike, but explored the hack instead... Especially since I got a very good deal on it. Heck I even considered a can am. I just knew that there had to be away to ride again. My endurance isn't what it was yet and the mind/body/function connection isn't as sharp yet,but it's slowly getting better. I've been staying on country roads and in light traffic as I try to build my skills. It's a lot of work. You ride a motorcycle but you drive a sidecar rig. After 40 years of riding,I find I'm fighting my handicap, retraining, my brain and it requires a whole different set of skills. Actually all the sidecar does is hold you up. Provided you don't go to fast to the right. It was nice in Indy today so I got a lot of practice in. I never was a fair weather rider but the change in barometric pressure from storms affects my head and it's gonna rain tomorrow. So I won't ride tomorrow, but today was a good day. I got up to 50 mph, which is slow for me. Eventually as my skills and coordination get better, I'll practice in the rain. It's just so great to be able to ride again. If I need a trike later, it's not out of the question though. I've heard they can be hard too. Never ridden one.
