Default Where to go for a Trike Conversion

My husband had a stroke and his new dream bike, a 2017 Street Glide Special with all the bells and whistles, including a touring pack, sits with on 700 miles on it. He could ride if it were a trike. I don't know what is the most affordable and highest quality way to get the bike converted to a trike. So, asking for input?

It you want outstanding work . Hannigan in Murry KY. Is worth a serious look.

However if you are more interested in cost , you might do much better with a trade for a Trike.

I appreciate the info. So what should the cost range be then? If you don't mind my picking your brain a little more. 😊

A good trike job will be upwards of 8k, probably more like 10k.

‘Tincupchalice’ on the forum has recently carried out an amazing Frankenstein conversion. He would be a useful mine of information and if it were me and practical I would be asking him for any assistance required be it information or practical help.

‘Ncbandit’ also has a stunning Frankenstein trike.

Unless he's seriously attached to the bike or you have people with some decent mechanical skills, time and space I'd honestly suggest considering trading in for a ready built trike, it's the cheapest route and the peace of mind and time not wrestling with it are priceless. Insurance could be an issue also with a conversation

insurance is not a problem, just add the conversion as an accesory.

This is exactly what my insurance company told me; the conversion is an accessory. Just increase the amount of your accessory coverage to be certain you've covered all your add-on's to the bike...
