Well we got to both go for a ride this weekend. The weather corporated and my wife was just tickled with the sidecar. I picked her up at the airport and had a blanket and her riding gear ready. She was nicely surprised & was expecting just a car ride home.

The steering got got a little heavier with a passenger but I’m hoping to look into a rake. I was also thinking - I lowered the front suspension 1” so that probably contributes to the steering being HARDER thank stok as well.

Easy come—-$$$—-easy go.

I’ll be talking to a new shop about the rake today I think...

Keep in mind a shop that understands sidecars is needed. The reason you change the rake is to effect trail. If done wrong increasing rake can make it worst. Good luck sounds like you are enjoying it.

So I spoke with a local independent shop. We are looking at the following:

7 deg rake kit and potentially longer fork tubes
Darkside [car tire] for the rear
installing the KurvyGirl 83 Deg valve stems into the motorcycle wheels. [toward the primary side]

We shall see what the costing comes out to.

With the sidecar on the angled stems are nice to have. Do your home work on Tree and tubes you may find HD is not the highest cost out there. The goal with mine was not to go to far one way or another I wanted to have a bike that handled well with the sidecar off also.
I cleaned up the removed parts , vac sealed them and have them store. may want them some day . If sold they would recover some of the cost of the work. I just decide to keep it all.

Once it is sitting like this no turning back.
