Default Easy-Rider Sidecar

I have just recently picked up a Easy-Rider sidecar. These are the smaller, mostly fiberglass, light weight sidecars. Its gonna need a little restoration and finagling, but I intend on installing it on my Dyna. Does anyone here have experience with installing sidecars, or know of distributors that sell replacement parts for sidecars?

Try these guys: https://www.dmcsidecars.com/ They may be able to source parts and mounting info. Also try the Warkshop in Ohio. Good guy, lots of experience.

You should ask if that sidecar is a bit light for your Dyna.

Sidecar people are the lunatic fringe of motorcycling. Welcome.

Thanks for the advice bros. I'm excited about this project. Speaking of lunatic fringe of motorcycling. My grandfather passed away when I was a little kid. The only memories I have of him, was riding around his chicken farm in his sidecar. He was a cooky, crazy old dude. I hope one day to be just like him.

DMC would be a good place to start in your case. Putting a sidecar on a Dyna is nothing new , been done. Avoid the BS for those that have never had one .

Only a lunatic would dare step outside the box and do something different. I wish the best for the OP. His biggest road block will be those that don't have a clue. If he can avoid that his goal will be reached. remember they said it won't work , can't be done.
Just like they said when we putting a sidecar on a 750 Street.
The Easy ride is a light weight but no reason it won't work on your bike . take your timer do the home work not short cuts. Post progress it should be a good read.

Riding the rig in the snow [Feb 4th] in Buckley Wa. People assumed I was crazy.

Our Sidecar is from DMC. It is an "opposite" issue, it is a little heavy. But heavy is stable, and stable is more comfortable. Jay knows the mechanics of his sidecars. There are others, but it is a good route to go.

We're currently on mile 4330 of our ride. We're in NOLA for Mardi Gras. My wife has ridden the hack for the whole time with the little dog in the rig. I'm on 2 wheels. We're going to post details later.

Have a good ride.
Enjoy the sidecar lifestyle, I would like to suggest a course, but I always suggest that.

H
