Yes the picture shows all of the unit that you can see. Now in the picture it appears the plate wit the screws in it is laying down it is not it sits straight up and is not as visible as it seems in the picture. That parts maybe SS.

Champion reverse on our 2011 Street Glide, with Hannigan trike conversion. Have never missed having a reverse lock-out, like the Motortrike kits.

I installed the Motortrike unit on my 2003 RK and have put maybe 4,000 miles on it since install. The fact that the electric interlock prevents ANY damage because of an out-of-sequence shift gives me piece of mind.

By the way it works great.

This is not a joke. I had not installed the reverse when we did the new sidecar rig. Saw no real need. Wife and I were talking about our up coming trip and the subject cane up. She reminded me of the places we have gotten into over the years with a touring bike. She though it should be installed. So got it done couple days latter.
On our last trip we encounter a bear up close and personal on a one lane trail. Not the first time but this was a lot closer. Momma bear informed us it was not visiting day at the Zoo. Slipped in to reverse and back away . She watched us every second. Once we were a good distance away she relaxed and brought two cubs out into the road and allowed us to take a few pictures.
The Mototrike Reverse has served us well so far. With the sidecar

Just wondering what transmission oil weight everyone is using with MotorTrike Mechanic reverse. If you are using HD Syn3 (20w-50), are there any problems like leaks when the transmission is hot?

Use what ever you have been using it makes no difference. Keep in mind the the way gear oil and engine oil is measured is different so your basic 75-140 is not much different than 20/50 engine oil. I run Spectro 75-140 because it is red .
If one lube leaks any lube would leak.
