Independant or solid?

I have converted a Sportster Custom using an independent suspension setup utilising BMW running gear.
It is the plushest ride going even when hitting some very pig pot holes.
When I had cars with solid rear axles they would tramp round corners and both wheels would get upset when either one hit a big bump. I don't know if a trike is affected in the same way.

I have a sportster 1200 and thats got a reliant rialto axle, narrowed and converted to chain.
The suspension is kind of half solid, because even though it does have suspension, the thing is in no way independant.
I made the mistake a second time, as my BMW K100 was also a reliant axle ( Regal and so even worse as it would be red-lining just to ride at 65mph ) and I moved to trike for medical reasons and this thing ( The Harley ) is simply killing my back.... If you go over a lump or ditch with one wheel, the whole bike throws over to the side and that does me in.
I have now also bought a VW Beetle based Trike and that does have indy suspension, and that is by far the way to go.
I am going to be doing 1 of 3 things this year, and it depends on the costs.
1. Doing a proper conversion to indy
2. Putting it back to a bike
3. Selling it, therefore waving goodbye to Harleys
After seeing my Harley next to a GoldWing, it looks like a 125cc and thats embarrassing LOL

When I am following the trike I put together I see a wheel hop after it hits a big bump but Cindy doesn't move in her seat. When I tell her what I see she says she is aware of the bump but hasn't felt it.
It doesn't unsettle the trike either in its path of travel.

after renting a triglide for a day and doing a short demo at an indy trike shop on a raodsmith, i converted my 15 limited with independent and the ride beats the snot out of a triglide. didnt have to mod the suspension or run around with 20# of air in the tires. on a group ride i had the wife on back we were behind a tri he hit a bump and his wife *** came a foot of the seat my wife didnt leave the seat at all.
