USAA provides financial and insurance services to military personnel and their families. Recently they changed their policy to allow anyone that served in the military to use their services. I went to their site to check out their rates for motorcycle insurance and was linked to Progressive Ins. I have had Progressive in the past (no complaints with their service) but their rates went up significantly and I switched to Foremost. Going through USAA, Progressives rates were $100 cheaper than Foremost. All you Vets out there might want to check them out. {usual disclaimers}

Been with them for over 41 years. Total trust and do all insurance and banking with them. Also, if you ever get in position or should I say cornered with some other insurance company wanting to sell you a policy just say "I use USAA can you beat them?" Usually they just walk away without even trying.

I have been a member since 1983. I have never been able to insure a bike through USAA. Hundreds more than Gieco. (USAA $598.00, Gieco $396.00)It may be where I live? No tickets or accidents in 20 years.
All my other vehicles are insured with them.

Same with me. I've checked with them before and they mentioned that they don't insure motorcycles. I do have my cars with them though.

I've been with USAA for years and tried out Progressive but the prices were a little steep. I have the exact same coverage with Geico now and my rates are half what Progressive was charging

I've been with USAA for 22 yrs and have never had a problem with them. The last bike I had (05 RK) was insured with them untill I sold it about 1 1/2 yrs ago. When I bought the Heritage I was told they now farm it out to Progressive. Dunno why, cause USAA insured the 05 with no problem. May be a state thing. I now have two bikes (01 FLSTCI/ole ladies 09 Shadow) and we're paying $538/yr for both. Not bad rates, but then no claims either. Still use USAA for everything else. Other insurance guys just leave ya alone when you tell em you're insured with USAA from what I've seen. Good company.
