I've got a 5' x 10' Wells Cargo trailer that I pull with a GMC Terrain. The trailer weighs 2060 lb with my FLHTC and a few goodies loaded inside. It pulls really well and I haven't had any problems in the four years that I've owned the trailer.
Do you know if your WC Trailer is torsion or spring suspension? And if you do not mind me asking - what did you pay for your trailer, what did it come with for the price you paid?
I am shopping for a trailer now, I am looking at the 7x10's or x12's. The dealers near me seem to only carry the United's.
What is the one thing you wish better about your WC? What do you feel is the best thing about your WC?
Try the second line of Wells Cargo. They are lighter but still have torsion axle which makes towing much better. Friend has had one for years and loves it--no problems at all with high use. Good luck.
What makes a torsion better than a spring? I am just curious - trying to learn before I buy a trailer.
I have a torsion suspension Kendon two bike open trailer and a leaf spring 16X8.5 enclosed trailer. The torsion suspension on the Kendon is supposed to make it easier for hauling one bike over to one side of the trailer to prevent it from leaning. It seems to do well for that. The enclosed is fairly heavy so I don't really notice a difference if I haul one bike off to the left or right VS in the middle of that trailer.

If the wonderful state of Georgia isn't to far away you might goggle up trailers there. I have several buddies that found it much cheaper to go pick on up one down there then haul it back to Virgina. seems there are a lot of enclosed trailer companies down there.
