I try to ride the bikes in my collection for about 1K/yr. The Street 750 missed it's turn last fall. I finally got it out of the back row this weekend.

Did three rides of about 100 miles each. With winds recently going to 35 mph plus I took it out onto the interstate at 70 mph. While following a semi at about 75 feet back I remembered the one quality that the Street has. It is hardly affected by strong winds and buffeting behind a semi. Tracks with ease. In my experience of 61 years of riding many different bikes the Street is the best handling in strong winds that I have ever ridden. Somewhere in its rake and trail, wheelbase, weight, center of gravity, small diameter tires is the answer to its wind cutting ability.

I feel that the Street is under appreciated as a competent motorcycle. Great handling, tracking, acceleration and braking. Comfortable for a 900 mile day which I did a couple of times in 2015 when I did the tour to Sturgis on the 750 for the 75th anniversary. Stopped at a DQ as it was their 75th also. It was my 75th year also.

The Street is one great machine with no excuses needed.

From now on I will schedule its riding time for March each year.

I live in a high wind area, and I agree, the street handles wonderfully even with cross wind.
