Paracord Street Grips
Hello Street Fans,
I was wondering if anyone has wrapped the grips on the Street with paracord?
I have wrapped flashlights, axe handles, and many other things. I was thinking about wrapping the grips on my 500. I thought about rain and that is the biggest downside. I would appreciate any comments or concerns. This forum rocks. I check it everyday.

Leather lace
Thanks thndrchiken,
Do you have any ideas on how to wrap the leather lace? I know how to whip paracord...I have never tried to whip leather. I probably will get new bars, Apes with some new grips. I kinda like the original bars and was just trying to make the grips better.
Thanks everyone for your input.

Paracord grip update
Hey Street Fans,
Quick update on the paracord whipping of the Street Grips. I whipped the grips and found them to be a little "fat". I also noticed that the "bite" needed to be placed at about 3:00 oclock on the grip or it felt lopsided. I rode all day and just could not dig it. I liked the "softer" feel but it still felt too fat. I might try taking out the inside white strands of the paracord and re whip them using only the casing. I have used that in the past for some handles. I will update that mod when I get it finished.

Great Grips!
Hey Street Fans,
Paracord Motorcycle Grip Whip Update-
I took out the inside string of the paracord. I re-whipped the grips with the now flat cord. I think 4:00 oclock is the best place for the bite. It is BadAzz! The grips feel like I'm holding katana swords. I used the FDE color and they look mil spec. They are not too fat and feel great. Took about 5 min to wrap each grip. I used a little foil to protect the grip when I burnished the ends. Hey Mr. AKC...I don't know how to put pics on or I would show you the result. I really dig it. I am going to ride on Friday and give them a workout. If any of you want to change the look and feel of your grips without spending a lot of money...give this a try.
