Default Street Rod coolant leak

Back in the HD shop for a coolant leak between the heads. Coming home Saturday on the tail end of a hundred mile ride and dropped a gear to pass and revved up to 6000 rpm. Felt hot on left leg and looked down and saw jeans soaked in coolant and shooting out from under tank between heads. Luckily my HD store was half mile away and limped it in. Waiting to hear diagnosis.

Cause was a hose clamp under the gas tank that was not tensioned correctly and hose blew off. Picked it up last night and drove the 51 miles to work this morning with no issues.

At least it was something simple and not drastic.

Glad you're back on the road...

Had a fitting cross threaded on my 17 custom by the factory. Leaked oil on the exhaust mounting bracket.
I guess **** happens huh? or that's what I was told

When I went in for my 1K mile service (at 2K miles )I found out my air box was cross threaded...

Other then the intake boot rip and other minor "warranty covered" issues I've had, the bike is running strong!..

Big trip planned for a long weekend next weekend to check out the Solar eclips in TN... Probably grab +3K miles in 5 days.

Also to note I'm going on my 4th rear tire... This new tread I'll be running is the Dunlop RoadSmart 3 tires (designed for sport touring applications) The rear will be kicked before my I head out to TN next Friday, I'll be pressing 9K miles or maybe a touch over that by then... Rears are lasting around 3K miles. I hope I can get closer to 6K on this RoadSmart3
