The street is a good beginner's bike. I would recommend watching youtube reviews to get a sense of it. I have a 2016 Street and it is a good around town bike. As far as what to look for, there are a few things:
One thing to be aware of is the 2015 model does not have as good as brakes as the later models.
There was also a recall on fuel pumps of that model year, so you should ask about that.

I have not make up my mind yet but for the price it would be a good option for her at 19, I think.

Congrats on the bike purchase, to you and your lucky grand daughter! It looks like that bike already has a Bassani slip on?
BTW, I believe the brake changes were a new master cylinder and caliper. Overall, something that shouldn't be too hard to upgrade on your own if you feel the need to.

I currently have the stock exhaust, it's very quiet. Sounds good when you open it up, but at idle it's very subdued. I was hoping someone like Vance and Hines would come out with a full 2 into 2 exhaust for it, but nothing yet. I inquired with them a ways back and they said they weren't going to develop anything beyond the slip on.
There are a number of slip ons out there if you want to change it.
Like Norty said, if she hasn't already she should take the MSF class.

I have though about taking the CAT out. Easy to get to no cutting of the pipe required. Stock pipe is quiet maybe a night stick may be in the cards.
This bike will get some mods. Just what and when is what her and I need to figure out.
