Default First Street 500 to the Top of the World!

Hello Street Fans,

After finding no pics of any HD Street 500 at the summit, I am claiming to be the first! This morning I zipped up the highest paved road in North America. Highway 103 in Colorado. Departed Evergreen around 7am. Reached the summit at 8:15am. Brisk...38F at the top. Blue Sky, marmots, Mountain Goats galore. Only 7 cages at the summit. Wow what a ride. There was some pretty serious exposure to the edge. I am pretty sure that the road will be closed soon. It is snowing up high now. This ride has to be on any riders bucket list. Hit me with any questions. I hope you can see the pic and proof.

There is an "EDIT" button available to you, the original poster, at the lower right-hand corner of the post. Just click it and it'll open up an edit window. Now hit the "Go Advanced" button and it'll even let you edit the title so you can add the "T". Hit "Save Changes" and your done.

I did that ride a year and a half ago on my then-new BMW R1200GSA. It was glorious! Lots of frost-heaves in the road toward the top though. Loved seeing the mountain goats. I road down to Colorado Springs the next day and did Pikes Peak.

Good job taking the Street 500 up there, and thanks for sharing!

Steve

Blame it on oxygen deprivation.

Bet that was a great ride. Seems no one disputes you XG500 being the first one you get the title I guess.
Enjoy the ride, I been having some fun on the XG750 I picked up.

Default Back to the Top!

Hello HDFans!
Made it to the top of the world again! Ice in 3 spots just summit lake and in the last turn to the top. Whew! Coasted over it and went straight. Freezing at the top. Ice still covered half of the lake. No bikes up there that early. Man I dig Hwy 103.
This time was amazing. If you come to CO, do this ride!

Weshicatwelo!

I had my heated gloves on and did not want to take them off for this pic
