Default 2015 750 Street Check Engine Light?

Will that check engine light come on for low oil?

My wife was riding this evening. Speedo went to zero, then fluctuated, check engine light came on and stayed on.

I checked the oil level and it's right at the bottom of the add mark.

3500 miles on it total, so add some oil for sure but, ya suppose that made the light come on or just coincidence?

I already read the speedo is a warranted fix, no biggie.

The answer is no, low oil will not cause a check engine light to illuminate.
