My first Harley w/questions
I was very optimistic when I thought about getting my first Harley, after getting my contract signed and ride my 2016 Harley XG750 with 4500 miles on it from the dealer I was surprise to find out that the neutral was very difficult to be found, and many time would not light up a the panel even so it was in neutral.
The left side tail gate light as damage and would not stay on but it was secretly place it place so you wouldn't notice a the dealer, only after riding for a few miles and the light will pop out.
I was very disappointed after getting to the dealer and not one wanted to take care of the problem even thought it was still under warranty and I purchased an 1 year extra warranty.
I could live with replacing the tail light but I think the clutch needs to be repair under HD warranty, I am right or not? Could some one advise me in this matter!! I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida.
Thanks
Alex

Apparently, the difficulty getting into neutral and the intermittent light coming on has been an issue on all of the Streets since they were first released. I have a 2017 that is only 5 months old that had the same problem. The dealer replaced the switch (indicator), but it still has trouble getting into neutral. I have found it easier to drop from 2nd into neutral as opposed to going into it from 1st. I've researched that and it seems the "answer" to the problem is a break-in period (after 500 miles should be better), but yours has well over that!
Does Florida have a lemon law? The dealer should have disclosed all issues before you took possession of the bike AND you should have taken it out on a test drive. If you didn't take the test drive - you are, as they say, "S.O.L"

Lots of bikes have neutrals that are hard to find. First, get the proper clutch adjustment. Next, neutral will be easier to find if the bike is rolling, clicking into neutral just before you come to a stop. If not running, rock the bike as you click up to neutral. Lastly, neutral lights lie, don't count on them. I can't remember any car coming with a neutral light, it's something you can ignore.
