Instrument cluster upgrade

Instrument cluster upgrade
I miss having a gear indicator and a tach.
So while searching for gear indicator and tach possibilities I ran into acewell meters:
http://www.acewell-meter.co.uk/
They are designed to replace the instrument clusters on bikes, and have stuff I want like gear indicator, tach, trip meters, ambient temperature, and clock all built-in. And the price isn't much more than a plain GI.
I wont fully replace, too much work for me, but for the same work to wire up a GI (power, speed sensor, rpm sensor), I get all the above functionality in a handle-bar mounted unit about the size of a GPS.
I know the Trail Tech Vapor gets mentioned around here, the acewell's are similar but add more stuff like the trip meters and the gear indicator.
I am favoring this one at the moment:
http://www.acewell-meter.co.uk/Acewell%20Speedometers/ACE-3xxx/ACE-3252.htm?action=full&id=12
But if I was doing a full replacement I think a more style-appropriate one would be like this:
http://www.acewell-meter.co.uk/Acewell%20Speedometers/ACE-85mm/MA85.htm?action=full&id=284
Both of them have 8k RPM max scale versions (perfect for the HD streets), here are their pics, I would select the clock though, not engine temperature or trip 2:
