Street Rod tires
I crossed over 7000 miles on my Street Rod the other day. I am not down to the wear bars, but I am showing enough visible tire wear both front and rear that I’m starting to think about new tires.
What is everyone running? I was eyeing the Dunlop Roadsmart 3, which are about $250 for the pair, but I’m open to other suggestions since we have lots of choices for the Street Rod thanks to its 17 inch wheels.

That seems like an aggressive choice to me. I feel like the Street Rod isn't really capable of fully utilizing everything a supersport tire like that can do because it's lean limited way before most sportier bikes. Plus, the rear is only good for 3-4000 miles, which would be an expensive venture for me given I'm liable to hit 10,000 miles before a year of ownership. I agree the OEM tires are pretty blah, though.
I ended up buying the Roadsmart IIIs. Haven't mounted them yet but we'll see how it goes!

I like corners. The OEM tires are a bit greasy, have a terrible profile and give zero feedback. I flip flopped between the Pirelli's and the Dunlop Q3's. I just ordered a custom built set of RaceTech G3S rear shocks 1/2" longer than stock for a bit quicker steering and a bit more lean angle. I'll mess with the forks once parts are available.

Dunlop Sportmax Q3+'s are a widely used track day tire with a great profile and feedback. The only reason I would go with the Pirelli's over the Dunlop's is price. Both tires are of a dual compound design.
The Street Rod has 17" wheels and the radial tires are sized to where there are many options available.
