I recently bought my 2017 Street 500 second hand and it won’t recognise the FOB. The real issue is however that I do not know the PIN code, the dealership told me that the original owner hadn’t changed the code and that it was still the original which was the last 5 digits of the Vin. This doesn’t make sense because the last 5 digits include 2 Zeros which are not an option when selecting numbers.

Make sure you check your battery in the fob mine went dead left me with the same problem. Changed the battery no problems after that if that dozen work you’ll need to get your bike to the dealer.
