Default Trailer Hitch - Hauling?

Hi! I am looking into using a small trailer for my xg750. I noticed there is a 200lb weight limit. It is making it difficult finding a trailer light enough for it that isn't ridiculousily expensive. I want something that will work for my German Shepherd dog. We both like going on adventures. I am not super confident with doing like some people do having the dog on the seat. Has anyone attached a trailer to their street bike? Where is a good source for a hitch and trailer? A picture of my bike and dog is below:

2015 Street 750 bike weight is 489 lbs. Max load front is 252 max load rear is 630. That means you can load 393 Lbs. HD does not give a towing limit because they do not want you towing a trailer. Weight in a trailer or sidecar is not the same as loaded on the bike. You have one or two more wheels supporting that weight. A trailer would not be a good idea for something that moves around in it.
I have a sidecar on a 21015 Street 750 The sidecar weight is 170 lbs, recommend load limit is 250 lbs. I have load 200 pounds of bag salt in it with no ill effects on the Streets ability to handle it. With a trailer a big concern would be tongue weight.
be careful be safe . Nice paint job.

I built my own. All aluminum with 660lb. torsion axles. Tows great till something shifts. You feel it. I vote no on the animals. Any way you go I suggest taller tires to slow down bearing speed. Rivco hidden hitch.

Drrot bike is bigger than the street models, still scary for me I could imagine jack knifing just turning around. I also see brake stopping distance being a factor.

Street 750 weight 468 lbs compared to a touring bike RGU weight is 899 shipped, 877 for Ultra limited That would make a big difference pulling a trailer.

Don't think I would pull a trailer with a street.

Certainly wouldn't risk my puppy's life in one!
