Default 2015 Street 500 idle issue

Just bought a 2015 street 500, roughly 4200 miles. When idling, it bogs down and surges constantly and died one time, first gear bogs unless I really get into the throttle. Once past first gear, runs like a top. Can't figure out the issue. Drained and replaced the old gas that had been sitting by the previous owner which seemed to help a little.

Check the fuel pump. The 15’s has some issue with the pump.

Just for the heck of it . If you are running 91 Octane in yours. Try a couple tanks oF 87 . My Street 750 always acted up a bit on 91 . Runs prefect on 87. The manual calls for 87.

Quite often an idle inconsistency is a TB issue, squirt it or clean it with brakeleen or whatever you guys in the States have.

Peace.

All 15 Streets had a recall for a faulty fuel pump. It would falter when the tank got low and or when taking off with a lot of throttle. It was a leaky seal within the pump and the entire pump needed replacement. Mine did it during the break in period and got the new pump. No problem for the next 7,000 miles when I traded it for a 17 Street Rod.

The sputtering is different than starving. As some suggested run some fuel injector thru a tank or two. Wal Marts brand of cleaner is just $0.97 and works for me just as good as Chevron's cleaner.
