Harley-Davidson Street 500 and 750

I have a Harley street 750cc when IÂ’m in traffic the exhaust burns my leg on right side

It’s the catalytic converter right under your right foot. My wife has this bike and the heat shield directs the heat straight up, it’s bad. I plan on removing it when the warranty is up and installing a FP3 with a new intake. It’s a bad design. I don’t think a crotch cooler would help much. It needs a better heat shield.

I was impressed with the heat shielding on the Street 500/750 to begin with.

This is the advantage of taller rider. I have not experience on my SR 750. I am 6’

Same problem here. Got a nasty 2nd degree burn a few weeks ago at a stop light through heavy denim. Might try some DEI titanium heat wrap under the shield this weekend as I have some left over from another project. I, too, have the XG750a. I'll post whether it works, or helps, next week
